The win moved Owen Coyle’s men to second place in the league table, but Derrick Pereira’s men finished ninth with four games to go without a win.
The lone goal came through Daniel Cheema Chukwu (49th minute), who scored in his first outing for Jamshedpur since signing for him in the January transfer window.
The match started well with Chuku sending his left footed shot too far off the mark.
At the other end, Ivan Gonzalez hit under the crossbar with a header. The rebound fell to Edu Bedia, whose low shot was saved brilliantly by TP Rehneesh. Gaur later launched more attacks on JFC Defense but to no avail.
