ISIS Commander Among Three Arrested In Pakistan’s Punjab

On Saturday, Pakistani police announced that they had arrested three suspected terrorists in Punjab, including a key ISIS commander.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab police said they arrested three ISIS terrorists during an operation based on intelligence. The arrests took place in Faisalabad, Jehlum, and Chakwal cities.

The CTD stated that among the arrested terrorists is an important ISIS commander named Abdul Wahab. The other two ISIS terrorists who were arrested are Saifullah and Khurram Abbas.

The statement says that explosives and weapons were found with the suspects. The arrested individuals have been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation.

Last month, the CTD arrested 38 suspected terrorists in Punjab, most of whom were from ISIS and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
