Ishan Kishan was injured after being hit by the elbow of his own teammate Chris Jordan and the MI batsman was replaced by concussion substitute Vishnu Vinod.

Later, Cameron Green was also injured after being hit on the hand by Hardik Pandya and the Australian batsman also retired hurt from the pitch.

Ishan Kishan suffered the injury during the 16th over of Gujarat Titans’ innings. Jordan had given away 17 runs in his over and Kishan was hit by the ball in his eyes. Vishnu Vinod put on the gloves as soon as Kishan left the pitch.

On the last ball of the 16th over, Rohit also suffered a minor injury to his hand as he tried to take Pandya’s catch and was hit hard on his hand.

The night would go from bad to worse for Rohit’s men as MI lost Green with an injury while batting in pursuit of 234.

Green was hit on the elbow by a sharp ball from Pandya and the Australian all-rounder was later declared retired hurt.
