NS Share Market Markets including currency and derivatives will remain closed for trading on Friday, September 10 Ganesh Chaturthi. However, trading in the commodity segment will remain suspended from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the morning session, but will remain open till 5:00 pm in the evening session. After the holiday on September 10, 11, 12, now the markets will open on Monday, September 13. The market will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays after Ganesh Chaturthi. After Ganesh Chaturthi, the next time, as per the holiday calendar of BSE and NSE, the exchanges will celebrate Dussehra on October 15, 2021 followed by Diwali on November 4, 2021. The last holiday of Dalal Street was celebrated on 19 August. 2021, due to Muharram.

Benchmark equity indices closed flat for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday. Media stocks were in demand, while bank and financial stocks saw selling pressure. Global cues were also mixed. On Thursday, the BSE benchmark Sensex closed at 58,305, up 54.81 points or 0.09 per cent. At the same time, the Nifty was trading at 17,357.35, up 3.85 points with a gain of 0.02 percent.

On Friday, both the Dow and S&P 500 markets fell for a fourth straight session, while the Nasdaq lost ground for a third straight session as concerns grew about an economic recovery amid a resurgence in COVID-19 cases . The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.43 per cent, while the S&P 500 Index and Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.46 per cent and 0.25 per cent, respectively.
