THEBLACKLABEL reportedly confirmed that they are indeed in talks with Rose. A representative from the label said, “We are currently discussing signing an exclusive contract with Rose.”

Fans of BLACKPINK brace yourselves as it looks like there are some big changes coming for one of its beloved members Rose. According to recent reports, the idol might soon sign an exclusive contract with THEBLACKLABEL. It is a South Korean record label and an associate company of YG Entertainment, founded in 2015 by YG producer Teddy and Kush. According to Soompi, this label has also played a major role in BLACKPINK’s rise to fame. Now, the news of band member Rose reportedly joining the label as a solo artist has created quite a buzz among fans.

On June 17, NEWSEN confirmed that Rose is in discussions with the label and might sign an exclusive contract with them. In response to these reports, THEBLACKLABEL also reportedly confirmed that they are indeed in talks with Rose. A representative from the label said, “We are currently discussing signing an exclusive contract with Rose,” reports Soompi.

As for the company itself, THEBLACKLABEL’s founder Teddy has been backing them since their debut single Square One. In fact, in the 2020 Netflix documentary titled BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, the group referred to Teddy as the “fifth member of BLACKPINK.” They thanked him for listening to their stories and guiding them toward positive results, reports The Korea Herald.

THEBLACKLABEL also represents several other well-known artists, including BIGBANG’s Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Zion.T, actor Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won, reports Soompi.

Last year, YG Entertainment, the company that had originally formed BLACKPINK, had reportedly announced that the individual members of BLACKPINK would not be renewing their contracts for solo activities. Meanwhile, all four members, including Rose, have renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities.

Rose is currently the only BLACKPINK member who has not yet signed with any agency for her solo activities. Other members Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa have already established their own independent labels to pursue their solo careers. Jennie launched her label Odd Atelier in December 2023. Lisa also launched her own label Lloud in February, meanwhile Jisoo came up with Blissoo in February.
