Bollywood’s finest actor Irrfan Khan is no more with us today, but his son Babil continues his legacy of acting following in his footsteps. Babil who will soon be making his acting debut with Kaala, recently revealed how his mother Sutapa Sikdar sacrificed her career so that Irrfan could work. Breaking his silence on his mother’s sacrifice, Babil told GQ in an interview, “He sacrificed his career to raise us and ensured that Baba’s work continued uninterrupted. And let me tell you, She is a very ambitious woman. It takes a lot to set aside her ambitions for her partner, for her children. He would have killed her to do so and yet she did. Baba was Baba because Mamma was Mamma He would have been nothing without him. And I don’t think he gets enough credit. Not even from Baba.”

He further revealed that it was only during his final days of illness that he acknowledged their sacrifices, “It was only after his illness that he acknowledged the scale of his contribution to his success.”
