Irrfan Khan’s son Babil collaborates with ‘Piku’ director Shoojit Sircar

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who gained recognition and love not only in India but also on international forums. The actor has done several films in his lifetime before suffering from a stomach infection on April 29 last year. Fans miss Irrfan Khan portraying various characters on screen.

Irrfan Khan may not be seen in a new role on screen, but his son Babil Khan, who is following in his father’s footsteps, will soon be seen acting in Bollywood films. Babil got Shoojit Sircar’s next film opposite Ronnie Lahiri. Shoojit and Ronnie had earlier worked together after the hit film ‘Piku’, which starred Irrfan Khan, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.

Sharing this news of collaboration on his Instagram, Ronnie Lahiri welcomed Irrfan’s son Babil on board as he shared an emotional post for the ‘Maqbool’ actor. He posted a few pictures and wrote, “Honored Irrfan sir for carrying on your legacy. Worked with a legend like you and now Babil. If this is not providence then what is?”

Babil Khan also shared the same pictures on his Instagram and captioned the post, “Honored to work with you (oh it’s a shame we didn’t take a picture with @zaynmarie)”.

A few days back, Babil also shared some unseen pictures of his father and wrote, “I am working so hard man, wish you were here.”

Meanwhile, Babil Khan is all set to make his Bollywood debut opposite ‘Bulbul’ actress Trupti Dimri in Anushka Sharma’s Netflix production ‘Kaala’.
