The post on social media platform Instagram read “Ye IPL hai mere yaar, bas ishq mohabbat pyaar”.

Gambhir and Kohli were part of the famous 2011 World Cup winning Indian team and have played alongside each other for quite some time in the past.

LSG won the toss and chose Bangalore team to bat first. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and Kohli started the innings in fine style as they scored unbeaten 79 off 46 balls and 61 not out off 44 balls respectively.

Australian Glenn Maxwell further bolstered RCB’s tally as he came in and played a quickfire 56 off only 29 balls.

Due to the brilliant performance of all three, the Karnataka team’s score reached 212 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs.

The LSG chase got off to a rocky start as they lost the big wicket of West Indies all-rounder Kyle Mayers in the very first over as he left the crease for a duck. Captain KL Rahul stayed in the middle for 20 balls and scored 18 runs before going back to the dressing room.

Deepak Hooda and Krunal Panda were also dismissed cheaply before Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran rose to the occasion and took the game away from RCB.
