Royal Challengers Bangalore account hacked on Twitter.

This is not the first time that the franchisee’s account has been hacked. Back in September 2021, it was hacked but the franchise managed to restore the account.

The Twitter account of IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore was hacked on Saturday. As soon as the hacker started posting tweets related to NFTs on the timeline, users quickly got a handle on the situation. Apart from changing the display picture, the hacker also changed the name of the profile to ‘Bored App Yacht Club’ and posted tweets related to NFTs. It also retweeted some other NFT related users. Interestingly, RCB has not removed the content, also there is no official confirmation in this regard. Furthermore, RCB posted a promotional video while its account was compromised.

This is not the first time that the franchisee’s account has been hacked. Back in September 2021, it was hacked but the franchise managed to restore the account. “Dear 12th Man Army, Our Twitter account was compromised a few hours ago and we have now managed to get it back. We condemn the tweet posted by the hackers and we do not endorse any of the content of the tweet which we have now removed. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused,” RCB tweeted at the time.
