Fans were also impressed with Narine’s spin bowling:

After winning the toss, CSK captain Dhoni had predicted spin to play a key role.

MSD said after winning the toss, “We are a bit unsure about the wicket and the pitch gets slower as the tournament progresses.”

“Over the years, we have told the openers to read pitches quickly and figure out what makes a good score. After 6-8 overs, we have to re-think our scores as the ball loses its shine.”

KKR skipper Nitish Rana also stressed on the role of spinners in the game.

“The deck looks sticky, so wanted to bat first and bring our spinners into play.
