Earlier, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler hit half-centuries while Shimron Hetmyer provided the finishing touch to take RR to 199/4 against DC.
Jaiswal and Butler hit 14 fours in the first six overs to score 68 runs in the powerplay. Their stand was 98 before Jaiswal fell for 60. From there, Delhi made a comeback through their spinners in the middle overs.
At 130/3 in 15 overs, it looked like Rajasthan had lost a promising start, until Buttler scored 79 and Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 39, scoring 69 runs in the last five overs to take Rajasthan past 200. Delivered to one less than.
Jaiswal started by showing his range of shots against Khaleel Ahmed in the opening over. A pullover cut through midwicket followed by deep third man (and aided by a misfield). He then drove through extra cover, hit a four over long-on, and proceeded to hit five fours over short third man.

Buttler had a life when Nortje was on 18 in the fourth over when Nortje ran in from mid-on and covered the ground brilliantly but could not hold the catch as Rajasthan brought up their half-century in just four overs.
Jaiswal continued to excel in his stroke-play, hitting Axar Patel for three fours through a switch-hit, cut and sweep. He continued to take runs off the left-arm spinner, cutting through the off side and bringing up his half-century in 25 balls with a gentle flick between deep mid-wicket and long-on.
While Buttler hit Kuldeep Yadav for two fours in the eighth over, Jaiswal hit him over long-off for his first six of the match. An impressive opening partnership of 86 ended when Jaiswal came down the pitch for a cross-bat shot off a Mukesh Kumar bouncer but top-edged the bowler to take a simple catch and bowled out.

Delhi bounced back through two quick wickets – Sanju Samson fell for a four-ball duck after being dismissed by Kuldeep at long-on, while Riyan Parag, playing in his 50th IPL match, dismissed Rovman Powell. Missed a slower ball completely. Stump in disarray.
But Buttler took the lead by smashing Axar for a six over cow corner to bring up his half-century in 31 balls. After this, he broke the spell of 20 boundary-free balls by hitting Mukesh’s ball one after the other.
