Virat Kohli cheers were heard around Eden Gardens as Naveen-ul-Haq was smashed all over the stands

During the 68th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Eden Gardens on Saturday, Naveen-ul-Haq came to bowl and Virat Kohli’s cheers echoed.

Afghanistan bowler Naveen-ul-Haq had a fiery altercation with Royal Challengers and India batsman Virat Kohli earlier in IPL 2023 and since then fans have been chanting the former Indian captain’s name.

The Afghanistan pacer has taken back-to-back tricks on Kohli. Naveen had shared a story of enjoying mangoes a few days ago as Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was seen as a clear dig at Virat Kohli and RCB who lost the match.

When Kohli scored his record-breaking sixth Indian Premier League century, it was Naveen who was trolled.

Both Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq have been posting cryptic messages on social media ever since they came together in Lucknow ahead of the IPL 2023 campaign during the match between LSG and RCB. On the same day, Kohli also had a heated argument with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir and all three were fined by the BCCI for their antics on the field.

Earlier, Nicholas Pooran anchored the innings with a counter-attacking half-century to propel LSG to a fighting 176/8 against KKR. Pooran to rebuild the innings after LSG were precariously placed at 73/5 with all their top batsmen following cheap dismissals including the in-form pair of Marcus Stoinis (0) and Krunal Pandya (9) Scored 58 runs in 30 balls.
