Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya heaped praise on his teammates for winning the second straight match against Delhi Capitals. Gujarat overtook Delhi in all three departments to register a 14-run win at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Hardik was praising his opening batsman for his confident innings when other players failed to score big runs for him against a quality bowling attack from Delhi.

Hardik heaped praise on his strike bowler Lockie Ferguson, who took four wickets against Delhi. The Gujarat Titans captain said that the Kiwi pacer turned the momentum in his team’s favor by dismissing Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel in the same over.
“I thought there were times when Delhi were ahead, but then that locky really changed things for us. We were about 10-15 short. But with the bowling we have, I am confident of making my way in the field.”

He further revealed that Varun Aaron was inconvenienced while bowling as he was one less bowler in the second half of the innings. The 28-year-old also admitted that Pant is in the middle. Delhi was ahead in the game but Lockie turned it around.
“We were one bowler less with Aaron’s injury, had to go as deep as we could and it worked for us. By the time Rishabh was there, the game was in balance or maybe Delhi were ahead, and that over from Lockie really changed it for us,” he said.
