While there is some time left for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 to begin, MS Dhoni is already impressing fans with his performance. No, we are not talking about his on-field outings but about his onscreen performance in the IPL promos. After fans loved Thala’s bus driver avatar in the first IPL promo, Dhoni is back with another campaign where fans get to see the ‘dada’ version of the cricketer. The promo depicts Dhoni as an old man who is ready to make up any excuse for IPL.

Since the promo was shared, it has garnered over 2 lakh views on Twitter with a flood of responses praising Dhoni’s acting skills.
Meanwhile, Dhoni has reached Surat for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) training camp ahead of the start of IPL 15 from March 23. In a video shared by the franchise on Twitter, Dhoni can be seen walking around the stadium along with other CSK players. Amidst the queue of fans on the road to catch a glimpse of the players for the training session. The defending champions are the first IPL team to start their training camp.
CSK’s preparations suffered a major setback after fast bowler Deepak Chahar was injured during India’s dismissal in the third T20I against West Indies in Kolkata last month. While running to bowl in the match, the fast bowler pulled his hamstring and had to be taken off the field.
Chahar is set to miss a major part of the tournament and there is a possibility that he could be dropped for the entire season. He is currently going under rehabilitation for his injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and the final confirmation regarding his availability is still awaited. Chahar was signed by CSK for Rs 14 crore at the IPL Mega Auction in Bengaluru.
CSK will begin their IPL 15 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
