new Delhi: Punjab Kings star batsman Liam Livingstone’s breathtaking 60 off just 32 balls helped his team post a respectable 180/8 against Chennai Super Kings at the Brabourne Stadium on Sunday.
Elected to bat after losing the toss, Punjab had a poor start. Their captain Mayank Agarwal lost his wicket on the second ball of the match itself. CSK kept themselves on top by taking another wicket in the next over as Chris Jordan was run out by Dhoni.
Punjab was reduced to 14/2. Liam Livingstone then not only scored a quick half-century, but also pulled his team back into the match by sharing a 95-run partnership with Shikhar Dhawan.
During his remarkable innings, Livingstone hit the longest six of IPL 2022. In the 5th over of the innings, he hit a 108m long six over mid-wicket. This is the longest six of the season so far. In the same over, he scored 26 runs with the help of three sixes and two fours.
