Harshal Patel has penned an emotional note for his elder sister, who passed away recently.

RCB seamer Harshal Patel was performing at his peak when he learned that one of the closest members of his family – his elder sister – had passed away. It was harsh for the 31-year-old, who was performing at his peak in Men in Red and Yellow. His death bowling especially with all the variations made quite an impression on the RCB fans. He was also awarded the Purple Cap for being the highest wicket-taker in the 2021 IPL. His performance was such that after his performance he was also included in the Indian team.

Now with this personal tragedy, he will be tested emotionally and needs to see how he comes back from it all. He played against Delhi Capitals but his wayward bowling ensured that he conceded 40 runs in his four overs. Meanwhile, he wrote an emotional post on Instagram remembering his elder sister. That’s what he said.
“Sister, you were one of the kindest and happiest people in our lives. You faced incredible difficulties in life with a big smile on your face till your last breath. When I was with you in the hospital before coming back to India you told me to focus on your game and don’t worry about yourself. Those words were the only reason I could come back on the field last night.”
He followed up with:
“Now that’s all I could do to remember and honor you. I will continue to do everything that will make you proud of me. I will miss you in every moment of my life, in good times and in bad. I will love you.” Lots of love. Rest in peace Jadi.”
