IPL 2022: CSK to retain MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja; Delhi Capitals to release Shreyas Iyer report

Chennai Super Kings are all set to retain skipper MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja, while Delhi Capitals will retain Rishabh Pant as captain, along with Enrique Nortje and Axar Patel. This means that both the teams will leave their middle order on the main base. According to a report in Indian Express, Suresh Raina will release from Chennai, while Delhi will let Shreyas Iyer go.

Iyer will be dropped as he wanted to lead the side which would not be possible with Pant, who has got some solid support from the owners. Meanwhile, Raina was not the top choice with a steep decline in his form IPL 2020, The Indian Express reported.
