New Delhi: The journey of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 so far has been nothing short of phenomenal. Rishabh Pant-led Delhi beat Rajasthan on Saturday with 16 points to reach the top spot in the IPL 2021 points table.
For Delhi, Shimron Hetmyer and Rishabh Pant played an important role in the match against Rajasthan. While Shreyas Iyer scored 43 runs, Hetmyer made a big difference with his flamboyant knock of 28 runs in 16 balls. Delhi beat Rajasthan by 33 runs on Saturday.

During the conversation, Iyer asked Hetmyer the secret behind his jersey number 189. In response, Hetmyer stated that 189 is the highest score he has scored back home and that is why he wears this number jersey when playing for the West Indies and other franchise leagues in the world. .
“Well, that’s actually my highest score. It wasn’t in Tests. If it was in Tests, I’d probably be crying now (jokingly). It was my highest score in cricket at home. To be honest. So, I can’t remember what game it was. I think it was just one of those days. I just went out, swiped and I got to 189 and then I got out,” Hetmyer told IPLT20 recalled in a video posted on .COM.
Hetmyer had attracted a lot of attention for dyeing his hair blue ahead of the second leg of IPL 2021 in the UAE. When Shreyas asked him the reason for this, he said that it is something that he likes to do.
“I love bling, that one. And, I love taking care of my hair too. It’s something I really love doing and I put some chemicals in it to keep it nice and soft.”
Hetmyer has scored 112 runs in 8 matches so far for Delhi Capitals, who will play their next match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah on 28 September.
