iPhone SE 3 may have thicker bezels like iPhone SE (2020)

New Delhi: Apple iPhone SE 3, the next iteration in the ‘affordable’ iPhone SE lineup may sport a design similar to the iPhone SE (2020), suggests a new report. Several leaks and rumors have surfaced regarding an alleged iPhone SE from Apple and now, reports suggest that the alleged iPhone SE 3 may retain the thick bezels that we have seen in the iPhone SE (2020).

According to a report by research firm TrendForce, the iPhone SE 3 can be launched in the first quarter of 2022.

The first in the ‘affordable’ iPhone SE line was unveiled in 2016. The iPhone SE (2020) version was launched last year, but there is no iPhone SE this year.

The Cupertino, California-based tech giant expects to see strong demand during the holiday quarter, the report said. The report also states that the iPhone maker will ‘stick with the plan’ to announce the iPhone SE 3 in early 2022.

The iPhone SE 3 is likely to be announced by Apple in the first quarter of 2022 and this indicates that Apple may hold another special event around March. TrendForce doesn’t reveal much details about the upcoming iPhone SE, but does mention that the device may support 5G connectivity.

Meanwhile, in early November, reports suggested that Apple was likely to sell more than 80 million iPhones in the holiday quarter from October to December. According to estimates by investment bank Wedbush, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max have longer wait times on offline and online channels in the wake of the global chip and logistics crisis.
