Vadodara: MS University has started making efforts to increase the number of foreign students at the university campus.
The university has started inviting applications from foreign students for admission for the academic year 2022-23. So far, the university has received nearly 45 applications from foreign students. “We are doing it on advance basis to felicitate students while they are in their third semester. The admissions will be granted by the faculties based on the outcome of their fourth semester. But students would require buffer time for visa processing, getting the necessary documents if they want to take admissions at our university,” said professor Dhanesh Pateldirector of Office of International Affairs ,OIA,
So far, the university has received applications from aspirants hailing from African countries apart from countries like IndonesiaNepal and Afghanistan.
The university has more than 250 foreign students enrolled in various degree, diploma and PhD programs in different faculties. Last year, OIA had received 870 applications of which 551 were considered for admission. Of these, 156 students had finally enrolled themselves to study at the university. tnn
