IMD has issued a red alert in parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The current spell of widespread to fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely to continue over parts of North India with heavy rains over Jammu and Kashmir on 31 July, Punjab on 1 August, Himachal Pradesh till 2 August and Uttarakhand and Haryana till 4 August. IMD said.
