The construction cost of the Pragati Maidan Integrated Transit Corridor project, fully funded by the central government, is Rs 920 crore.

With the opening of the six-lane Pragati Maidan tunnel, the movement of Ring Road and India Gate will be signal free. This part of the journey will be completed in barely five minutes instead of thirty minutes. This will facilitate the movement of all the roads near Pragati Maidan. Lakhs of drivers passing through these roads will be able to reach their destination without jam.

Due to the removal of four signals between DPS Mathura Road to Bhagwan Das T Point, reaching ITO Chowk will also be possible in minutes.
