New Delhi: Budget carriers Indigo It said on Wednesday that “smoke” was reported in the cabin of the Raipur-Indore flight on July 5, which was actually “haze”.
The statement came hours after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials said that the cabin crew of the aircraft indigo flight Smoke was noticed in the plane after landing at its destination.
An IndiGo spokesperson clarified, “There was no smoke, it was just mist due to moisture.”
Indigo Airbus A320 (VT-IJY) was operating as 6E-905 from Raipur to Indore.
There have been several incidents of malfunctions on Indian carriers in the past week.
Earlier, the DGCA had issued a show-cause notice to SpiceJet as its planes had eight technical glitches in the last 18 days.
However, later, DGCA chief Arun Kumar said that there are around 30 flying incidents every day in the country and most of them have no security implications.
