The Mumbai suburban section of Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR) will undertake jumbo and mega blocks respectively to maintain infrastructure and complete various engineering and maintenance works today, Sunday, December 19. CR will put up a mega block between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Chunabhatti/Bandra, while Western Railway will put up a jumbo block on the fast line between Churchgate and Mumbai Central.
Central Railway
Central Railway will operate Mega Block on Harbor Line for maintenance work on 19th December as follows:
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbor line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm and Chunabhatti / Bandra – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up Harbor line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm
Dn Harbor line leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai/Wadala Road for Vashi/Belapur/Panvel from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm and Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm Down Harbor line services will remain suspended.
Up Harbor line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbor line services from Goregaon/Bandra to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm will be suspended.
However, special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) during the block period. During the block period, Harbor Line passengers will be allowed to travel from 10.00 AM to 6.00 PM on Main Line and Western Railway.
Infrastructure Section between Diva and Thane:
In connection with the work of 5th and 6th line on main line, an infrastructure block is being operated at Diva and Thane on 19th December. During this, services of many long distance and suburban trains will remain canceled between December 18 and December 20.
Western Railway
For maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a five-hour jumbo block will be taken on Up and Down fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central (local) stations from 10:35 hrs to 15:35 hrs on 19 December. ,
During the block period, all fast line suburban trains will be operated on slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central (local) stations. Some suburban services will remain canceled due to the block.
