Indian Railways Pilgrim Special Tourist Train for Uttar Darshan Yatra from 31 October; check details

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come up with special Uttar Darshan Yatra Package for eight nights/nine days from 31 October to 8 November. This special IRCTC pilgrimage special train for Uttar Darshan Yatra will start from Rajkot and will cover Amritsar. , Haridwar, Mathura, Rishikesh, Vaishno Devi and Ujjain. The train can be deboarded and deboarded from Rajkot Junction, Surendra Nagar, Viramgam, Mehsana, Kalol, Sabarmati, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam and Nagda.

The sleeper class travel charges for standard class package is Rs 8,505 per person, while for comfort class it is Rs 14,175 per person for traveling in 3 AC.

Booking for the journey can be done from the official website,, and through IRCTC’s Tourist Facilitation Center and Regional Offices. No fare will be charged for child below 5 years of age but for children above 5 years as per adult fare will be charged.

IRCTC said that tourists availing Bharat Darshan Yatra (only train fare and road transport will be accepted) will be issued a Leave Travel Concession (LTC) after the completion of the journey.

What does the package consist of

The package includes sleeper class and 3AC class travel, overnight stay in dharamshalas/hall/fresh up on multi-sharing basis, morning tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner daily, non AC road transfer and travel insurance. Entry fee, worship, special darshan fee, horse riding and boating charges will also be borne by the tourist.

what is not

Items of personal nature such as laundry, medicines, entry fee for monuments and service of tour guide will not be part of the package.

Dos and don’ts for everyone on the Pilgrim Special Tourist Train:

1. Aarogya Setu App is required to be installed and used by all including IRCTC employees.

2. Tourist should wear face mask and hand gloves and wash hands frequently with soap.

3. Luggage should be disinfected at the reception/boarding point.

4. All tourists will have to follow the mandatory health advisories issued by the Central Government, State Government and the local administration on which they are visiting.

5. Social distancing should be followed during boarding/disembarking/any other transport, monuments and pilgrimage sites, mass lunches, dinners etc.
