Olomouc (Czech Republic): Star Indian paddler G Sathiyan registered a dominating 4-0 win on Wednesday yeven prischepa Ukraine to claim men’s singles title at summit ITTF Czech International Open.
The top seeded Indian, ranked 39th in the world, defeated Yeven 11-0, 11-6, 11-6, 14-12 in the final.
Earlier, Sathiyan had reached the final after his Swedish rival Trulls Moregaard retired hurt midway through the semi-finals here.
The top-seeded Indian won the first two games 11-4 11-8 without breaking a sweat and was leading the third 8-2 when Moergaard opted to continue the contest citing injury in the semi-final clash.
