Indian Football team head coach seeks chance to fight for nation’s pride in Asian Games

Asian Games: Indian men’s football team head coach Igor Stimac wrote a heartfelt and emotional note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, appealing them to allow the Indian team to participate in the upcoming Asian Games in China.

The Indian football team is not playing in the Asian Games for the second consecutive edition as it does not meet the Sports Ministry’s criteria of being among the top 8 teams in the continent. AIFF had shortlisted 40 players for the tournament.
