To prepare for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team will be at the NCA taking part in a 10-day camp.

The India Women’s team are set to undergo a 10-day skills camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru as part of their preparations ahead of the highly anticipated Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

The camp will be overseen by the Head Coach, Amol Muzumdar and is set to begin on Tuesday as reported by Cricbuzz.

The entire squad along with the reserves will be in the NCA. This includes the likes of Yastika Bhatia and Shreyanka Patil whose availability for the tournament will be subject to the results of their respective fitness tests and clearance by the NCA.

Cricbuzz reported that both players had received their No-Objection-Certificates (NOC) after clearing their respective fitness tests to join the camp. Bhatia had picked up a knee injury, a grade 1 tear of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) during the five-match T20I series against Bangladesh in March and has been in the NCA for her recovery.

Patil on the other hand suffered a fracture on her left hand during their Asia Cup 2024 opener against Pakistan in July.

During the squad’s course of preparations, the team will also be part of intra-squad matches. However, this would be day games since the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and the Alur facility are not available. A point to note would be the fact that India’s three out of the four group-stage against are going to take place under lights in the UAE.

Following the camp, the players will be on a four-day break after which they will return to Mumbai and head to the UAE.
