Dubai: India were placed in Group B with debutants on Wednesday Uganda, South Africa And Ireland For ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, is to be held in West Indies From January 14 to February 5, 2022 in four countries.
A total of 16 teams will travel to the Caribbean to compete in 48 matches.
Defending champions Bangladesh, England, Canada and the United Arab Emirates made up Group A while Group C included Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea.
Group D sees hosts West Indies, Australia and Sri Lanka. Scotland completed the tournament line-up in Group D after New Zealand withdrew due to extensive mandatory quarantine restrictions for minors upon their return home.
The four host nations have been confirmed as Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, St Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago, with 10 venues hosting matches.
The top two teams from each of the four groups in the format will advance to the Super League, while the remaining teams will join the plate over 23 days of competition.
The semi-finals will be played on 1 February at two venues; Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground and Coolidge Cricket Ground on 2 February.
The final will also take place on 5 February at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground.
