Due to Coronavirus, the schedule of India and Sri Lanka series has been changed again. According to the information received from the sources, now the ODI series between the two countries will start from July 18. Earlier on Friday, there were reports that the series is likely to start from July 17. But now the schedule series for the second time has been changed.

The three-match ODI series is likely to start from July 18. Match dates are to be 18, 20, 22.

The three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka was to begin on July 13. But the series was asked to be postponed after two members of the Sri Lankan cricket team tested positive for Covid. Two members had tested positive for the delta version of the virus. Both of them have been sent to the Intermediate Care Unit, while the Sri Lankan team has now been isolated for two more days. They were originally supposed to enter the Bio-Bubble on Friday but now they will have to undergo a fresh set of RT-PCR tests and those results will determine whether Sri Lanka can field players who are currently in isolation .

According to the latest inputs, a fresh positive case has come to the fore in the second bio bubble of the Sri Lanka team. Since Sri Lankan players have two bio bubbles and both have registered positive cases, now a third bubble with new players has been sought from the selectors.

After the ODI series, a three-match T20 series is also to be played between the two teams. The T20 series will start from July 24. The second T20 match will be played on 25 July and the last match of the series will be played on 27 July.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board can release the changed schedule of the series by this evening or Sunday morning.
