Gautam Gambhir is all set to kickstart his stint as the head coach of the Indian cricket team with the white ball tour of Sri Lanka. India’s tour of Sri Lanka will start with a three-match T20I series. The opening T20I match of the series is scheduled to be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, in Sri Lanka on Saturday, July 27. The Indian cricket team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The visitors will enter the series having beaten Zimbabwe in a five-match series. Meanwhile, hosts Sri Lanka will be led by Charith Asalanka.
Following the completion of the T20I series, India and Sri Lanka will face each other in three ODIs. The first ODI will take place on August 2.
