In a video shared by New Zealand Cricket (NZC), the two can be heard having a candid chat. As Rachin made his Test debut in this competition, Ejaz recalled his first Test and shared his experience.
“I remember my first Test match, I was really nervous, and my hands were trembling when I got the ball for the first time. How was it for you?” Patel asked. To which Ravindra replied that there were initial tremors, but he recovered. “I was feeling a little nervous about bowling. We were almost four runs down in the first innings when I was in the next innings, so definitely felt some butterflies (at that time), but I think after a few balls, I did what I used to do. Luckily it went well,” said the 22-year-old.
“To be able to play in India in front of crazy fans. Glad it’s done. My mom and dad have been a huge influence on my career. I am sure he is proud,” said Ravindra, whose parents moved to Kiwiland at the turn of this century. Meanwhile, Ejaz also has Indian roots.

“We did it together brother,” said Ravindra when asked to speak to Patel.
