Team India was ranked 21st, behind countries like Israel, Italy, Iraq, Iran and others, with athletes Manpreet Singh and Mary Kom holding the tricolor while the rest of the team followed them. This is the 25th time that India is participating in the Olympics and interestingly the largest contingent ever.
