India reports 11,451 COVID cases in last 24 hours, lowest active caseload in 262 days

New Delhi: India has reported 11,451 new coronaviruses According to the Union Health Ministry, cases in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 13,204 have been cured and 266 deaths have occurred in the country. The active caseload now stands at 1,42,826 – the lowest in 262 days. The country’s recovery rate currently stands at 98.24% – the highest since March 2020.

Active cases now account for 0.42% of the total cases which is the lowest since March 2020.

Kerala

After the total COVID-19 cases crossed the 50 lakh mark two days ago, Kerala recorded 7,124 fresh coronavirus infections and 201 related deaths, taking the caseload to 50,15,505 and fatalities to 33,716.

According to PTI, with 7,488 more people recovering from the virus since Saturday, the total recoveries rose to 49,08,857 and the active cases reached 72,310 on Sunday.

Of the 201 deaths, 21 were reported in the last few days, 153 were such that were not confirmed till June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation and 27 after receiving an appeal based on the Centre’s new guidelines was designated as a COVID death. and directions of the Supreme Court, the release said.

Among 14 districts, Ernakulam reported 1,061 cases, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1,052) and Thrissur (726).

Maharashtra

Maharashtra recorded 892 new coronavirus positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s tally of infections to 66,17,654, while 16 patients died, according to the state health ministry.

A total of 1,063 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals during the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 64,59,108. With this, there are currently 14,526 active cases in the state.

Mumbai city reported 252 new cases and three deaths, taking its tally to 7,58,467 and the toll to 16,276.

The Mumbai division, which includes the metropolis and its satellite cities, recorded 435 cases and four deaths on Sunday. The division’s caseload now stands at 17,03,941 and the number of fatalities is 35,608.
