India records 23,529 COVID cases in last 24 hours, highest recovery rate since March 2020 – Bharat Times Hindi News – World Latest News Headlines

The recovery rate currently stands at 97.85%, the highest since March 2020.


Kerala on Wednesday recorded 12,161 fresh COVID-19 cases and 155 deaths, taking the caseload to 46,64,971 and the toll to 24,965.

An official press release said that the number of people who have recovered from the infection since Tuesday stood at 17,862, taking the total number of recoveries to 44,95,904 and the number of active cases to 1,43,500.

In the last 24 hours, 90,394 samples were tested.

Among 14 districts, Thrissur reported the highest number of cases with 1,541, followed by Ernakulam (1,526), ​​Thiruvananthapuram (1,282), Kozhikode (1,275) and Malappuram (1,017).

Of the new cases, 86 were health workers, 64 from outside the state and the source of 11,413, 598 infected with contacts is unclear.


Maharashtra recorded 3,187 new COVID-19 cases and 49 fresh deaths on Wednesday, taking the number of infections to 65,47,793 and the toll to 1,39,011, according to a bulletin issued by the state health ministry.

The bulletin said that 3,253 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries to 63,68,530.

Maharashtra now has 36,675 active cases and the state’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.26 per cent, while the death rate stands at 2.12 per cent.

Ahmednagar district reported the highest number of 561 new infections in the state.

Among Maharashtra’s eight regions, Mumbai region recorded the highest number of 1,064 new COVID-19 cases, followed by Pune region with 1,020 cases. 738 new cases were reported in Nashik region, 220 in Kolhapur, 84 in Latur, 43 in Aurangabad, 11 in Akola region and seven in Nagpur region.
