India-Pakistan match: MP Ravneet Singh Bittu comes in support of Arshdeep Singh | Ludhiana News – Times of India

LUDHIANA: Member of Parliament from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday came out in support of the Indian team bowler Arshdeep Singh, who is being trolled for dropping a catch during India-Pakistan match at Dubai and whose Wikipedia page was allegedly edited to reflect his association with Khalistan.
Speaking to mediapersons at Ludhiana, MP Bittu said, “A Sikh and a true Punjabi can take bullet on his chest for the country but he can not backstab country. It is very wrong to call Arshdeep a traitor and the people who are running such malicious campaign against him are traitors infact. Arshdeep is a youngster and it will take sometime for him to become fully confident player. Yesterday he bowled magnificent spell even in the last over and he was the only bowler to give away least runs. So if by mistake he has dropped a catch he should not be criticised like this, because at the end of the day it is just a game and this can happen with any cricketer”
Bittu also said, “Our team chose Arshdeep to bowl the last over against our arch rival Pakistan show that team has full confidence in him and he is very talented cricketer. Those criticising and calling him Khalistani should desist from doing so and everyone should motivate Arshdeep and all the young players”
