The crisis has been averted with the India-New Zealand T20 match to be held on November 19 in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The screw was stuck on it due to a marriage. It happened that in the hotel where both the teams were to stay, rooms were already booked for the guests coming for a wedding. The marriage was also of an IAS officer. He refused to drop the booking.

The Indian Cricket Board BCCI got upset due to the strict rules of Corona’s Bio Bubble. The matter was so big that BCCI even threatened to shift the match to another place. Later, on the intervention of the government, the officers agreed. It was decided that the international cricket match to be held in Ranchi after two years would not be postponed due to marriage.

The preparations for the match have started in full swing at the JSCA Stadium.

The day the match, the same day the guests were to arrive
An IAS officer of Bihar cadre had booked 40-45 rooms in the hotel on November 19 and 20. In the meantime, the match is to be held. BCCI was not ready to go to another hotel according to its standard. He said that we do not allow players to exit the bio bubble (a place where no outsiders are allowed to go).

It is difficult to make a bio bubble in hotels other than Radition Blue. In such a situation, BCCI even threatened to shift the match to another place. Earlier IAS officers were not ready to cancel their booking. After the request of the government, they agreed to shift their baraatis to another place.

Need 75 rooms for team and support staff
Now the India-New Zealand T20 match will be played on November 19 at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium itself. The hotel management is ready to give the rooms to BCCI. Devesh, manager of Hotel Radisson Blu, said that there has been a demand for 75 rooms from JSCA. Their arrangement is almost done.

Jharkhand State Cricket Association secretary Sanjay Sahai said that preparations for the match are going on. Along with the preparations, the BCCI team will come to Ranchi on October 14 to take stock of the security and hotel arrangements.
