Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said on Monday that it would be appropriate to describe India As a great experiment in democratic governance that its citizens need to be proud of. “We can hold our heads high as we consider the fact that ours is the world’s largest and one of the world’s most dynamic democracies,” he said in a Facebook post after visiting the Prime Minister’s Museum in New Delhi. “

He said that the museum is a living reflection and celebration of the vibrant nature of Indian democracy. “Walking through the museum floor, one feels proud that in the Indian democratic set-up, even a person born in a normal family can rise to the highest constitutional positions,” he wrote.

He said that maintaining the unity and integrity of the young and budding nation and drafting the Constitution were the two biggest challenges of that time, which were successfully tackled under the able leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and BR Ambedkar. “I am delighted to see an extensive section in the museum telling the story of our Constitution and its framers. Copies of the original Constitution in all 22 Indian languages ​​are displayed in the museum, representing India’s iridescent diversity,” Naidu said.

Describing the museum as “a great work done objectively”, the Vice President said that he is confident that the Prime Minister’s Museum will make the younger generation aware of the contributions of all Prime Ministers and inspire them to work towards building a New India. He said that the museum is a “splendid monument” which pays rich tribute to all the Prime Ministers of India since independence by narrating the stories of their contribution in the development of the country over the last 75 years .

The museum was recently inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi As part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Teen Murti Chowk.
