The notification said, “And whereas, the Central Government is of the view that Hafiz Talha Saeed is involved in terrorism and he is to be notified as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967) Needed.”

Hafiz Saeed was the brain behind the 26 November 2008 Mumbai terror attack in which 166 people were killed.

He was declared a terrorist under the same law a few years back and is currently serving a prison term in Pakistan on terror charges.
