Covid in India: According to the Health Ministry, 41,806 new Covid cases, 39,130 recoveries and 581 deaths have been reported in India in the last 24 hours.

Indian Council of Medical Research said 43,80,11,958 samples were tested for Kovid-19 Till 14 July 2021. Of these, 19,43,488 samples were tested yesterday.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,32,041. Active cases are 1.39% of the total cases. The weekly positivity rate remains below 5% and is currently at 2.21%. The daily positivity rate is 2.15%, which is less than 3% for 24 consecutive days.

With 8,602 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Wednesday, the number of cases in Maharashtra has gone up to 6,181,247 so far. The latest figures showed that 170 more people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll in the state to 126,390.
With 7,603 new cases on Monday (July 12) and 7,243 on Tuesday (July 13), the Maharashtra daily Covid tally has remained above the 7,000-mark in the last two days.
The data shows that 6,067 people were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours and the cumulative recoveries in the state reached 5,944,801. The medical staff in the state tested 226,163 new samples a day and so far 44,609,276 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the state.
Kovid in Kerala
Kerala recorded 15,637 new Covid cases on Wednesday, informed the health department in a press release. With 128 new deaths, the death toll rose to 14,938. The test positive rate was recorded above 10. For almost a month now, Kerala is reporting 11,000 to 13,000 cases every day. During the same period, the daily number of cases in the country has dropped by almost half, from more than 80,000 a day to about 40,000 a day now.
