India, China to hold military talks on Sunday to resolve border dispute – Bhaskar Live Hindi News

New Delhi, 9 October | India and China will hold the 13th round of Corps Commander talks in Moldo on the Chinese side on Sunday to resolve the border dispute in eastern Ladakh.

The two countries will discuss the third phase of de-escalation and overall de-escalation along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

The talks are scheduled two months after the two countries withdrew troops from Friction Patrolling Point (PP) 17A at Gogra on the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

The process of dissolution was done in two days i.e. on 4th and 5th August, 2021. Soldiers from both sides are now in their permanent bases.

This happened soon after the twelfth round of talks between the Corps Commanders on July 31, 2021.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to a separation at Gogra. Soldiers in the region have been in a face-off since May last year.

With the bifurcation between the two countries for Gogra, India will now occupy other remaining frictionless areas such as hot springs and the 900 sq km Depsang plains during the 13th round of military talks.

India has stressed during the recent military commanders’ meetings to resolve all issues across the Line of Actual Control.

So far, apart from 12 rounds of Corps Commander-level talks, the two forces have also conducted 10 Major General level, 55 Brigadier level talks and 1,450 calls to the hotline.

Earlier, troops of two giants of the Himalayas had left both sides of Pangong Tso in February this year.

The border dispute between India and China has been going on for the last 16 months.
