Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is once again in controversy. This time an assistant professor of a college attached to the university has been accused of making objectionable studies about Hindu gods and goddesses. Alumni of the university have complained about this on social media. At present, the professor has been suspended after the matter came to light.
Dr. Jitendra, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, JN Medical College of the University, was conducting objectionable studies by taking the names of deities at Power Point. Some students objected to the matter by taking a photo of it. When the university handed over the notice, the professor apologized.
The objectionable studies were done through PPT of Assistant Professor of Forensic Medicine Department of JN Medical College.

During MBBS studies at JN Medical College, forensic science is being taught about rape. While teaching the subject of rape, objectionable things were said about gods and goddesses. In the PPT which is going viral during the studies, indecent things have been written about Hindu gods and goddesses. When the screen-shot of this PPT went viral, Hindu organizations have started opposing it.

Tahrir given against Professor
After the matter came to light, AMU’s former student leader and BJP leader Dr. Nishit Sharma has filed a complaint against the accused assistant professor at the Civil Lines police station on Wednesday. In the Tahrir, he said that the assistant professor made very wrong remarks about gods and goddesses while teaching the subject of rape. This has hurt the sentiments of the people who have faith in Hinduism. After the Tahrir, the police started investigating the matter.
AMU sits probe, seeks clarification
After the matter caught fire, Aligarh Muslim University has set up an investigation in the matter. Along with this, a two-member team is investigating. AMU PRO Umar Pirzada said that an explanation has been sought from the assistant professor. Two senior professors have been entrusted with the investigation of the case. Member in-charge of AMU Public Relations Department Prof. Shafe Kidwai told that the professor has been suspended till the investigation of the case is completed.
Police is investigating the matter
CO Shwetabh Pandey told that a complaint has been received in AMU for providing inadequate education on deities. The matter is being investigated. The AMU administration is also probing the matter. A complaint has been received against the accused professor. Further action will be taken based on the investigation.
