The Indian women’s team registered their second win of the tri-series against the West Indies as they won by 56 runs. Smriti scored the highest 74 runs while being the captain Harmanpreet Kaur A 35-ball 56 helped the Indian team register a victory, restricting the opposition to 111/4.

Mandhana and Kaur scored easily in their unbeaten 115-run stand, Mandhana in particular finding boundaries with ease and even clearing the rope off the bowling of Affy Fletcher in the final over of the innings.
Mandhana’s innings included 10 fours and a six as she was firing on all cylinders and looking in top form. She was scoring at a strike rate of 145 while Harmanpreet was also in top form as she hit 8 fours in her innings to help Smriti take India to a big win.
West Indies needed a quick start to have any chance of chasing down India’s big total and their hopes soon faded Deepti Sharma (2/29) and Rajeshwari Gaikwad (1/16) helped reduce Hayley Mathews’ team to 25/3 in the seventh over.
West Indies lags behind
Shameon Campbell (47) and Mathews (34*) toiled hard to raise the scoring rate, but India’s bowlers toiled hard to ensure they remained unbeaten in the series after their first win over South Africa.
