IND vs WI: Rahul, Mayank, Saini sweat it out ahead of 2nd ODI – India Times English News – The Henry Club

India vice-captain KL Rahul, opener Mayank Agarwal, who has completed his quarantine after joining the team, sweated it out ahead of the second ODI against West Indies on Monday.

It was an optional training day for Team India members as it was just a day after a full game. Agarwal was included in the squad after several COVID-19 cases were reported in the Indian squad.

29-year-old fast bowler Navdeep Saini was also part of the practice session.

“Look who are here! The trio joined the team and sweated profusely in the practice session today,” tweeted BCCI along with pictures of the cricketers.

On Sunday, the Rohit Sharma-led team defeated West Indies by six wickets in the first match of the three-match ODI series.

It is likely that Agarwal will open the batting along with skipper Rohit Sharma on Wednesday.

In the opening game, Rohit had opened with Ishan Kishan, who is not exactly a regular opener, but the Jharkhand player did a good job, scoring 28 runs in an 84-run stand with his captain.
