India’s young star Yashasvi Jaiswal made a brilliant start to his Test career, scoring a hundred for his country in his very first match in red-ball cricket. Jaiswal, along with his captain Rohit Sharma, scored his first century for Team India in the first Test match of the two-match series against the West Indies on Thursday.
Social media went into a tizzy after the young left-hander played a sensational knock for his team Windsor Park in Dominica.

Rohit completes 3500 runs for India in Test cricket
India skipper Rohit Sharma on Thursday added another milestone to his illustrious career as he completed 3500 runs in the Test cricket format. Meanwhile, Rohit became the 20th Indian batsman to reach the 3,500-run mark in the Test format.
Only Kohli (8,479), Cheteshwar Pujara (7,195) and Ajinkya Rahane (5,066) have more Test runs among active Indian players. Meanwhile, Rohit, who averages 45+ across formats, reached the milestone after 51 Tests. Apart from 15 half-centuries, the India skipper has also scored nine hundreds.
Rohit, who made his international debut in 2007, did not win his first Test cap until 2013. Despite being heavily smoked in his debut, he performed very well as a middle-order hitter. His fortunes changed after he was promoted as an opener in 2019. Last year, he was appointed as the full-time Test captain of India.
