As India prepares to face Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match on Sunday, June 9, International musician Drake has placed a high bet on India to win. The Hotline Bling hitmaker has placed a bet of a massive Rs. 5.4 crore. This bet comes just weeks after winning a bet in IPL 2024.
In a now-expired Instagram Stories, Drake revealed he’s betting over Rs. 5 crores. “We are 1 for 1 on cricket bets. Let’s start the run,” he captioned the post. Check it out below:
His bet comes just days after Drake won Rs. 3.73 crore from his bet on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). According to Mashable India, the rapper and singer had bet $2,50,000 on Shah Rukh Khan’s team. Drake earned over Rs 1.7 cr through the bet.
The India vs Pakistan match will take place on Sunday, June 9, in New York. The team consists of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohd. Siraj. The match will take place at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The match will begin at 8 PM IST.
India is a part of the Group A line in the tournament. They share the group with arch-rivals Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and co-hosts USA.
