Team India players sweat it out in the nets ahead of India vs Australia 3rd Test in Indore

Team India They may have taken a 2-0 lead in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023, but the hosts are not done yet, and they will look to clean sweep Australia.

Indian players sweated it out in the nets in the absence of captain Rohit Sharma at the Holkar Stadium ahead of the third Test of the series in Indore. While Rohit was expected to join the rest of his teammates on Monday, the BCCI shared a video of the Indian players sweating it out in the nets ahead of the third Test.

While Rohit was nowhere to be seen in the video, former skipper Virat Kohli and under fire KL Rahul were seen giving their best.

“Preparing on! Team India ready for the 3rd IND vs AUS Test in Indore,” wrote the BCCI on Twitter on Sunday, offering fans a glimpse of India’s net session.

After winning the first Test in Nagpur by an innings and 132 runs, the hosts continued their onslaught on the visitors by winning the last match in Delhi by six wickets.

This sealed the fate of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy which India successfully retained for the fourth time in a row.

While the players will be confident going into the final round of the series, Rohit faces a selection dilemma as Rahul’s batting woes have been a major concern.

Now it has to be seen whether Shubman Gill gets a chance in Indore or not and if India wins the third test, then it will confirm its place in the final. World Test Championship 21-23 which will be held at The Oval, London in June.

With the win in Indore, the last Test in Ahmedabad Narendra Modi The stadium will become a mere formality, although Kuldeep Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat and Suryakumar Yadav may get a chance to play in the final match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

India’s next assignment will be the ODI series against Australia which begins on March 17 with the first match to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
