India’s team announced for ODI series against Australia, Ravindra Jadeja returns, Shikhar Dhawan-Jasprit Bumrah out

The BCCI announced India’s 18-member squad for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against Australia on Sunday, February 19. While Ravindra Jadeja will return to limited-overs cricket after shining in the Test series, Shikhar Dhawan has not been included.

Jaydev Unadkat has also been included in the ODI squad, he has been included in the ODI squad after a gap of almost 10 years.

Last time the captain of Saurashtra represented India In an ODI match, it was against West Indies in Kochi in November 2013.

Another key absentee is Jasprit Bumrah who is still regaining full fitness and is unlikely to return as his back injury has already healed.

The Indian team will be led by Rohit Sharma, however, the 34-year-old will not be able to play in the first ODI due to family commitments, thus Hardik Pandya will lead the team in his absence.

The ODI series between India and Australia is set to begin on March 17, with the first match being played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The next match will be held in Visakhapatnam on March 19, while the last match of the series will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

KL Rahul has also returned to the ODI squad after missing his previous assignment for the Indian team due to his family commitments as he married his longtime girlfriend Athiya Shetty.
