MumbaiThe Income Tax Department has conducted a ‘survey’ of Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s house in Mumbai. According to an ANI report, the investigation wing of the IT department has conducted a survey at six places including Sonu Sood’s office and house.

Another IANS report said that a team of IT officials resumed operations from Wednesday morning; However, the reason behind the ‘survey’ was not immediately known.
He had been in the news last month after rumors of Sonu contesting the elections surfaced on the internet. He shared a tweet to refute speculations of his political debut.
Sonu Sood emerged as a messiah for migrant workers during last year’s COVID-19 lockdown. He received praise from all sides for his humanitarian work amid the coronavirus crisis in India.
The ‘Dabangg’ star actively helped people during the peak of the second wave of COVID in India. From providing medical aid to arranging oxygen cylinders, he worked round the clock to serve the people affected by the pandemic.

On the professional front, Sood will next be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’. This period drama will mark the Bollywood debut of former Miss World Manushi Chhillar. If all goes according to plan, ‘Prithviraj’ will clash with Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s ‘Jersey’ at the box office.
Sonu will also be seen in a Telugu film ‘Acharya’.
