RANCHI: The state unit of BJP lashed out at chief minister Hemant Soren on Sunday over his remarks on the death of two girls in Dumka. The ruling JMM countered it by saying the current government showed sensitivity to serious issues by action and not words.
Answering a news agency’s query seeking his comments on “several such incidents happening in the state”, Soren had said, “Incidents keep happening, what are the places where incidents don’t happen? Do these incidents issue an alert before happening? You tell me, how we should tackle these eventualities.”
Condemning Soren’s statements, BJP state president Deepak Prakash said CM is saying that he has no clue on how to stop such incidents and hence passed the insensitive statement – these incidents keep happening.
Reacting to the BJP charges, JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said the JMM-led coalition government demonstrates sensitivity in work and not just words.
